Essential healthcare constructions in Ireland continued this year with a new project in which Partel was involved by ensuring the windtightness and fire-safety measures for the new-built Thurles Ambulatory Care Unit.
Key Information
Ensuring safety and building fabric performance was a shared priority. Partel provided support service and consulted with the Horizon Offsite team to facilitate specification of the best suitable product system compatible with project requirements.
EXOPERM MONO DURO breathable B1 fire-rated system was installed on the external insulated wall panels to ensure the highest level of fire safety and airtightness. A fully functional TPU Monolithic membrane such as EXOPERM MONO DURO provides greater thermal efficiency, and long-term weather protection, which is of particular importance to protecting the building from structural damage.
The quality construction design together with the right building envelope systems helped to achieve the nZEB standard.
The project was carried out by the Horizon Offsite, under the main contractor Clancy Construction, with Reddy Architecture + Urbanism.
The 667m2 single storey unit was completed at the beginning of 2021 facilitated by the speed benefits of the MMC approach and structural steel assembly.
