Committed to continuous professional development

** Due to the restrictions in place to support government policy in reducing the spread of the COVID-19 infection, we are offering fully interactive online CPDs via Microsoft Teams.

Please call or email us to discuss how we can support your e-learning development.

Our dedicated team at Partel is passionate about innovation and sustainability and has vast expertise across all areas of engineering, architecture, and building physics. Being one of the leading companies in the green building sector we wish to encourage and educate trade professionals in low energy building as well as promoting further growth in the move towards energy-efficient smart building.

In addition to providing tailored technical advice, WUFI risk analysis and onsite inspections we have for the past 8 years provided a variety of CPD courses and seminars on the issue of green building practices.

If you are eager to upskill on the key issues, procedures, and application methods in the areas of airtightness, wind tightness, ventilation, and thermal bridging, these courses are available and open to all – architects, engineers, building consultants, tradesmen, installers and homeowners.

For further information please see below our CPD and seminars available.

Best Practice for Air and Windtight Structures

As part of our service to architects, Partel runs a dedicated RIBA CPD seminar for architects and specifiers. This RIBA Approved CPD focuses on the importance of air and wind tightness in low-energy building design. It discusses the importance of external and internal membranes, their sealing and highlights best practice on how to specify and install. It also focuses on the risks associated with airtight buildings and how best to overcome these.

Duration: 45 minutes presentation, plus a 10 minute for Q&A

By the end of the seminar you should have a greater understanding of:

  • Correct product choice for specific scenarios
  • Correct detailing and specification for optimum results
  • How to determine where an airtight layer should be
  • How to specify correct products for varying scenarios
  • Airtight principles and risks associated

Partel Business Development Managers are available for CPD bookings across the whole of the UK and Ireland.

Methods and Applications to Improve Air & Windtightness, Thermal Bridging

The cornerstone of any low energy build is making sure you get the airtightness right!

This presentation focuses on the importance of airtightness and windtightness in both new and retrofit building design. It is led by one of our Certified Passive House Designers and among other things; discusses the value behind making the right design choices to begin, choosing the correct products for the project brief as well as then crucially the correct installation and application on site.

Duration: 1-1.5Hr duration with time for Q&A | Free to Attend

Ventilation solutions for energy-efficient buildings

Studies have shown that many of us spend up to 90% of our time inside buildings.

In addition to this modern construction techniques are moving towards more airtight buildings to meet lower energy demands, therefore the need for great Indoor Air Quality is more important than ever. In this presentation, one of our technical managers will explain the benefits from an energy, cost and lifestyle perspective of Decentralised Ventilation. This will cover MVHR, HYBRID and Demand controlled ventilation systems suitable for residential and commercial projects.

Duration: 1-1.5Hr duration with time for Q&A | Free to Attend

  • Introduction to Ventilation
  • Why do we ventilate?
  • Building Regulations - NZEB Part F changes
  • Types of ventilation systems available: Natural, CMEV, MVHR
  • Types of ducting systems
  • Getting things right
  • Sound
  • Examples & case studies
